Vegan Kitchen and Bakery in Zurich

Switzerland’s vegan gastronomy is rather sparse, but as the interest for healthy, cruelty-free and conscious food is growing, so is the country’s culinary landscape. Aside from the luxurious Hotel Swiss Vegan in Kreuzlingen (currently, its restaurant is open only on weekends) there’s now a brand new vegan restaurant in Zurich – the Vegan Kitchen and Bakery.

The place has received a lot of media attention since its opening in December 2010, and on January 27, 2011, Star TV Switzerland published the following news report in which the owner (fine arts student Lauren Wildbolz) is interviewed and a meat-eater, a vegetarian and a vegan test and rate the restaurant’s menu very positively (video in Swiss-German):
